We go to the ring for tonight’s big 5-on-5 match and out first comes WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair. Bobby Lashley is out next with Lana, who is also covered. WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura is out next to represent Team Flair. Drew McIntyre is out next, followed by King Baron Corbin. Out next comes Team Captain Randy Orton to a big pop. WWE Hall of Famers Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart are out first for Team Hogan as “Real American” plays and the fireworks go off. Rusev is out next, followed by Ricochet. Shorty G is out next as Corbin talks trash. Ali is out next and Team Captain Roman Reigns is out last. The Big Dog punches the ground and the fireworks explode around the stadium.

The two teams face off in the middle of the ring as the bell rings. G starts off with Nakamura. Nakamura with kicks. Gable counters and takes Nakamura down. They tangle on the mat and Nakamura blocks an ankle lock. Gable with two belly-to-belly suplexes for a 2 count. Nakamura gets the upperhand and tags in Corbin. Corbin keeps control until Ali gets the tag. Ali kicks from the apron and works Corbin over as The Nature Boy watches from ringside. Lashley tags in. Rusev also tags in and Lashley wants no part of him.

Drew tags in but Rusev wants Lashley. Rusev and Drew go at it now. Rusev unloads from corner to corner but Drew runs into an elbow. Drew missed a shot and Rusev hits the spin kick for a 1 count. Ali ends up coming in but Drew works him over. Corbin tags back in and goes at it with Ali. Ali goes to the top but Corbin shoves him off and he lands hard on the outside, hitting the barrier as well. Corbin brings Ali back into the ring and holds Ali while Lashley kicks him. Lashley with a side slam to Ali. Apparently Lana went backstage to watch the match and didn’t come to ringside. Orton and Hogan have words at ringside as things fall apart for a few seconds. Added screencaps of Roman on WWE Backstage 10/25/2019.The Big Dog talks about being Captain Uce and working with members of his team when all of a sudden he is attacked by Baron Corbin

Kansas City, Missouri

We go right to the ring for another must see edition of MizTV as The Miz welcomes us. WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is standing with King Baron Corbin, WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and Sami Zayn, who is not a member of Team Flair at Crown Jewel. WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan stands with Team Hogan members – Captain Roman Reigns, Ali and Shorty G. Miz says this is the most prestigious episode of MizTV, and then introduces The Nature Boy and The Hulkster. Miz introduces their teammates for Crown Jewel next, and mentions the ones who aren’t here tonight because they’re on the RAW roster.

Hogan addresses Flair and says he’s put together the greatest Hulkamania team of all-time, so all he has is one question for Flair – what ya gonna do when Team Hogan destroys you? Flair makes it clear there’s no love lost between he and Hogan. Flair says now Hogan has The Big Dog with him, oh no. Flair talks up his Captain, Randy Orton. He goes on about adding Drew McIntyre to the team and says when they get to Saudi Arabia, it’ll be just like Hogan after one more match with Flair – he’s going down. Flair says the same goes for Reigns, he’s tired of looking at Reigns. Hogan says Flair should check the history books because he’s never beat Hogan, and that won’t change. Hogan goes on talking up his team members.

Sami ends up interrupting and making fun of Shorty G for his height, and saying he will never be half the man that Nakamura is. Shorty fires back about embracing who he is and how important that is these days. He’s not backing down. Ali says G doesn’t gave to listen to a guy like Sami, he doesn’t even compete anymore, and he’s just a mouthpiece now, which is ironic because of how bad his breath stinks. Corbin cuts Ali off and reminds everyone he’s a king. Corbin says he will take Team Flair to victory. Corbin goes on and says Reigns will do what he always do – let everyone down. Corbin says Reigns is a former champion but this s his kingdom now – the people bow to him, and Reigns will bow to them. Corbin says fans don’t need a hero, they need a ruler and he will rule with an iron fist. Reigns tells him to shut up and fans pop. Reigns says he’s not a king. Reigns says the crown is stupid, so is the scepter, the cape and everything else about it. Reigns goes on and says Corbin is a problem, and the only way to fix that is punch him in the mouth.

Back in September, 2K Games announced that they would be partnering with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as part of the upcoming WWE 2K20‘s global marketing campaign:

Utilizing its extensive social media presence, 2K will issue a call-to-action via the WWE Games Twitter account, urging consumers to retweet and spread the LLS message and donation link. For each retweet, 2K will donate $2.00 to LLS, up to $500,000.00.* Consumers will not be required to make a purchase or donation but will simply be doing their part to encourage others to get involved and consider donating, volunteering time or becoming a social ambassador. In addition to its financial commitment to LLS, 2K will also provide copies of Company-published video games to blood cancer patients, coordinate visits with 2K personnel and WWE Superstars to hospital partners of LLS, host LLS personnel, patients and their families at upcoming WWE 2K20 promotional events, and more.
We were present for the 2K20 event last Friday, and as such had a chance to talk about the partnership with someone you may have heard of before: game cover Superstar and leukemia survivor Roman Reigns. The Big Dog talked about the importance of supporting cancer awareness both in real life and to naturally doubtful wrestling fans, as well as sharing the cover of the game with Becky Lynch, and why he’s supporting Seth Rollins following Hell in a Cell.

With Spandex: 2K’s partnering with the Leukemia And Lymphoma Society. Thoughts on that personally?

Roman Reigns: I just think it’s awesome. You know what I mean? If you’re in a position to help, I just don’t see why not. I was literally just talking to Ric Flair about it. The miles and the money mean nothing if you don’t have that fulfillment. And my work with LLS, just being able to connect with these, these little heroes and warriors, it is the most rewarding thing I’ve ever been a part of. You can only get those types of smiles from your children or your loved ones, like your wife or your, your girlfriend, that type of love.

And to be able to help people out and support them as they’re going through a rough patch it just means a lot to me because it came to me tenfold the support, it felt like a global support. So I mean, for me to be able to take that and just relax and heal, I feel like it is more than my obligation to continue that and pay it forward and help those that are … and find themselves in a similar place that I was.

We go right to the ring and out first comes Roman Reigns as the pyro goes off. Greg Hamilton does the introductions. WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins is out next for this non-title match. Rollins also gets some pyro for his entrance. Reigns will be fighting to secure the first Draft pick for SmackDown and Rollins is fighting to earn the first pick for RAW.

Rollins makes his entrance as the announcers hype tonight’s show. The OC vs. The New Day will take place. The bell rings and they lock up. Reigns drops Rollins first with a shoulder. Rollins comes back and takes Reigns down with a headlock, then a quick pin attempt. We get a stalemate as they size each other up. They lock back up and tangle into the corner. The referee breaks them up and Rollins rolls Reigns for a 2 count. Reigns ends up on the floor. Rollins dropkicks him through the ropes. Rollins runs the ropes for a suicide dive but Reigns meets him at the ropes with a forearm.

Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins will wrestle tonight on Fox to decide which brand—Raw or SmackDown—receives the number one pick in the WWE draft. If Reigns wins, the top selection will go to SmackDown, and if Rollins wins, then it belongs to Raw.

Since returning in February from his second bout with leukemia, Reigns has provided a new face for those seeking additional inspiration in their fight against cancer. And the 34-year-old Joe Anoa’i is now making his biggest contribution, having found the perfect tag team partner in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Reigns spoke with Sports Illustrated about the new partnership with LLS, as well as touched on his friendship with Ron “R-Truth” Killings.

Justin Barrasso: How did your partnership with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society come together, and how did you turn such a negative moment—announcing that your cancer had returned—into a positive?

Roman Reigns: That’s the crazy part, this all started as a negative and it was such a hard announcement last October. But simply telling the truth and sharing my story, I could immediately feel something positive in my core. The live crowd that night was there for a wrestling show, and they had this real-life news put on their doorstep, which was a lot from them to take in—and they forgot about the show, the wrestling, and the character—and they focused on me, Joe. I’ll never forget that.

On October 7, 2019 Roman Reigns attended the 49ers Game to support NFL’s Crucial Catch initiative to support Cancer Warriors representing Breast, Colon, Lymphoma, Leukemia, Pediatric cancers and more to help celebrate and increase awareness.
