Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, TX Shane McMahon is determined to call out Roman Reigns.

We see Shane McMahon backstage in his office. Shane says there’s speculation on why he had Roman Reigns brutalized on RAW last night, to soften him up for Super ShowDown. We see a replay of Shane, Drew McIntyre and The Revival taking turns on Reigns last night. Shane says this all came about because Reigns said Shane doesn’t stand a chance with him in the ring. Shane says that proved he does stand a chance. Shane says anything Reigns can do in the ring, he can do better, because he’s the best in the world. Shane says he’s headed to the ring to call Reigns out, he just wonders which version he will get – the big dog strutting his stuff, or the little pup with his tail between his legs.

University of Texas, Austin We go right to the ring as Roman Reigns makes his way out to a mixed reaction. The announcers plug Reigns vs. Shane McMahon at Super ShowDown.

Reigns waits in the ring but the music hits and out comes McMahon. Shane stops on the stage and has Mike Rome give him his “Best In the World” introduction.

Shane says he can’t wait to shut Reigns up on Friday. Shane says he’s not just called the best in the world, he is the best when he gets in the ring. Shane goes on about how he gets better with age and how he will beat Reigns from corner to corner, ending him with a Coast 2 Coast and making him tap out for the first time. Shane says actually that won’t satisfy him because he will keep the Triangle applied after the referee orders him to break it, because he makes his own rules. Reigns tells Shane to shut up and dares him to try and make him tap. Reigns says he will pick Shane’s little spoiled ass up and drive him into the mat. Reigns goes on and brings up Shane relying on Drew McIntyre. Reigns reveals he will face Drew at WWE Stomping Grounds in July.

PWTorch editor Wade Keller Spoke with Jon Moxley who talked about his time in WWE as well as Roman Reigns’ Role in WWE:

You can also read Jon Moxley’s excerpts from the interview below:

Moxley on the fans turning on Roman Reigns when he became ‘the guy’ in WWE:

“I think they definitely, probably hoped that it stopped, when he was in The Shield, everybody loved him, he was the hottest thing, but was booked like a monster. But as soon as [the fans] realized [he was the guy], then they all decided beforehand they were going to turn on him because they don’t like that, for whatever reason. I think Cena did that first and Roman walked into it. They were like, ‘Oh, it’s the Cena thing, again.’”

Moxley on Roman Reigns’ infamous ‘suffering succotash’ promo and how Reigns hated saying it:

“Vince [McMahon] had him say ‘suffering succotash,’ ya know what I mean? I remember that day. You think he wanted to say that? No. He went in there and came out and was like, ‘He wants me to say suffering succotash,’ and I remember kind of laughing like, ‘Dude, you can’t say that.’ He’s like, ‘He wants me to say it. Is there a cool way to say it?’ I’m like, ‘What if you looked at the camera and said, well, that wasn’t easy to say,’ or something, I don’t know. His personality is so great, he’s such a great dude. Everybody loves him, he’s the move lovable guy in the world. He’s the guy everybody gravitates to in the locker room. Just his natural charisma, but they don’t let him be himself. They try to make him—years ago, he was trying to be what they wanted.”

Moxley on Roman Reigns:

“I’m really glad he is legit one of my best friends because we would ride in the car—even when we were in competition, so to speak, because I love him so much that I couldn’t resent him or anything. If he was a guy that I wasn’t friends with or I hated, I would probably resent the hell out of him. Because there were many times when I felt like I had a stronger connection with the audience than him, but it didn’t matter. He’s my best friend, so it would have never come between us.”
